When you're sick or injured, knowing where to go saves time and money. Urgent care is ideal for non-life-threatening problems that still need same-day attention.
Choose urgent care for
- Colds, flu, sore throat, and ear infections
- Minor cuts that may need stitches
- Sprains, strains, and minor fractures
- UTIs, rashes, and minor allergic reactions
Go to the ER (or call 911) for
- Chest pain or difficulty breathing
- Severe bleeding or a serious head injury
- Signs of stroke (face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty)
- Severe abdominal pain
When in doubt about a serious symptom, choose the ER. For everyday illness and injury, walk in to Daystar — most visits take under an hour.
