Can allergies cause a sore throat?
Yes — post-nasal drip from allergies irritates the throat, classically worse in the morning and accompanied by itchy eyes and clear runny nose, without fever.
Can urgent care treat ear infections?
Yes — ear infections in kids and adults are everyday urgent care work: exam, diagnosis, and prescription in a single visit.
Can urgent care treat UTIs?
Yes — with on-site urinalysis and same-visit antibiotics. Uncomplicated UTIs in women can even be treated by telehealth.
When should I go to urgent care instead of the ER?
Urgent care: things that need attention today but aren't life-threatening. ER: chest pain, breathing trouble, stroke signs, severe bleeding, major trauma.
When should I go to urgent care for a fever?
Adults: fever over 103°F, lasting 3+ days, or with concerning symptoms. Any fever in an infant under 3 months is an emergency-level concern.
