Questions patients ask about Pre-Employment Physicals
What is a pre-employment physical?
A medical exam required by some employers to confirm you're physically capable of the job's demands — different from a DOT physical unless the job involves CDL driving.
What does a 10-panel drug test screen for?
The 5-panel basics (marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, PCP) plus benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, propoxyphene, and methaqualone.
How long does a pre-employment drug test take?
The collection takes 10–15 minutes. Negative results typically return within 24–48 hours; non-negative results take longer due to confirmation testing and MRO review.
Will my prescription medication fail a drug test?
Legitimate prescriptions don't count as failures — the Medical Review Officer verifies your prescription with you before reporting anything to the employer.
How do corporate accounts work at Daystar?
Call or email to set up — we invoice your company directly, your employees walk in with no out-of-pocket cost, and results route to your designated contact.
