Questions patients ask about Vaccinations & Immunizations
What vaccines do adults need?
Annual flu shot, COVID updates, Tdap booster every 10 years, and catch-up doses for anything missed in childhood — plus travel vaccines when applicable.
Does the TB skin test hurt?
Barely — it's a tiny needle just under the skin's surface, more odd-feeling than painful. The site may itch afterward; don't scratch or cover it with a bandage.
Can I get a TB test while pregnant?
Yes — both the skin test and QuantiFERON blood test are safe during pregnancy and are routinely required for healthcare workers and students who are pregnant.
Can you get antibiotics from telehealth?
Yes — for bacterial infections where in-person testing isn't required. UTIs, skin infections, sinus infections, and some ear infections are commonly treated this way.
Is telehealth HIPAA-compliant?
Yes — our telehealth platform uses encrypted, HIPAA-compliant video technology. Your health information is protected the same way as an in-person visit.
