Ohio-licensed providers can prescribe antibiotics via telehealth for conditions where clinical diagnosis is reasonable without a physical exam: uncomplicated UTIs in women, bacterial sinusitis, skin infections that can be seen by photo, some ear infections, and others. We won't prescribe antibiotics for viral illnesses (most colds, most sore throats without a positive test) — that's bad medicine regardless of format.
