Illness can temporarily raise your blood pressure and heart rate, and the examiner must record what they measure. A reading of 145/92 on a flu day gets you a 1-year certificate instead of 2 — that's a real cost for bad timing. If you have a fever or feel genuinely unwell, reschedule. A simple head cold without fever won't affect your numbers.
