Walking pneumonia refers to an atypical pneumonia, often from Mycoplasma pneumoniae, that causes a persistent dry cough, mild fever, and fatigue — but usually not severe enough to keep you in bed. Antibiotics (typically a Z-pack or doxycycline) are effective. Chest X-ray can confirm it, which we can refer for same-day.
